If you work with or for seniors in Windsor Essex, attend a free networking meeting with the

Windsor Essex Networking Association For Geriatrics (W.E.N.A.G.)

SEPTEMBER WENAG MEETING INFORMATION:

Tuesday, September 12th
8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Chartwell Oak Park Terrace Retirement Residence
1750 E.C. Row, North Service Road
Windsor, ON  N8W 1Y3

Thank you to Connie Felice and Oak Park Terrace for hosting our meeting and for breakfast and beverages.

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Please feel free to park your car in the front or back parking lot.  Although you will see signs that say “Fire Route”, you may park on the street in front of the building safely.

The Meeting
After helping yourself to the continental breakfast, the meeting begins and each attendee is given 30 seconds to make their ‘elevator speech’ so everyone in the room knows what everyone else does.
If anyone has an event they would like to promote, time is taken to make those announcements. After that, the rest of the meeting is devoted to one on one networking or in small groups. If there is someone in the room you feel should know about your business or service, now is your chance… or perhaps someone will seek you out to find out how to hire you or access your services. It’s friendly, informal and always fun.

Door Prizes
Often times there are numerous door prizes… but only if the attendees provide them.  If you can provide a gift card, gift certificate, ticket to an event or any other chachka, please bring it!

Material
Be sure to bring plenty of business cards and any promotional materials you have for the brochure table or to hand out to other attendees.

Please RSVP to Marilyn Clancey Moving In Harmony – 519-251-1741, email – Marilyn@MovingInHarmony.com

or

Peter McKeen at  peter@safeathomewindsor.ca

“The conflicting emotions of grief can often be hard to understand and navigate.  The grief journey is not about learning to simply move on or move past your loss.  It is an adaptive process where we learn to navigate our ‘new normal’ in a healthy and productive fashion.  When someone you know or work with is grieving a loss, you have special opportunities to care and support.  This presentation will offer some practical advice on how to come alongside a bereaved person and offer meaningful support.  Learn about what to say to a grieving person and offer ways that you can be of real help at this time of life transition.”
