“The conflicting emotions of grief can often be hard to understand and navigate. The grief journey is not about learning to simply move on or move past your loss. It is an adaptive process where we learn to navigate our ‘new normal’ in a healthy and productive fashion. When someone you know or work with is grieving a loss, you have special opportunities to care and support. This presentation will offer some practical advice on how to come alongside a bereaved person and offer meaningful support. Learn about what to say to a grieving person and offer ways that you can be of real help at this time of life transition.”

Parking
Parking is available directly across from the main entrance in the lot marked “Private Parking for The Shoreview”.
There is also parking along the street from Riverside Drive up to our building, however, not directly in front of the building as this is for Emergency vehicles only.
Parking is also available just west of the building.

About US
Windsor Essex Networking Association For Geriatrics (nicknamed W.E.N.A.G.) is an open (everyone welcome) networking group that meets one (usually the 2nd) Tuesday of the month from September to June. We are in our fifth year.
If you are with an agency or have a business or service that caters to our aging population, this networking group may be just what you need to make others aware of what you do and what you can offer. And you will also find out about other excellent resources in our Windsor/Essex community.
The Meeting
After helping yourself to the continental breakfast, the meeting begins and each attendee is given 30 seconds to make their ‘elevator speech’ so everyone in the room knows what everyone else does.
If anyone has an event they would like to promote, time is taken to make those announcements. After that, the rest of the meeting is devoted to one on one networking or in small groups. If there is someone in the room you feel should know about your business or service, now is your chance… or perhaps someone will seek you out to find out how to hire you or access your services. It’s friendly, informal and always fun.
Door Prizes
Often times there are numerous door prizes… but only if the attendees provide them. If you can provide a gift card, gift certificate, ticket to an event or any other chachka, please bring it!
Marketing Material
Be sure to bring plenty of business cards and any promotional materials you have for the brochure table.
